UBC Mathematics: MathNet FAQ [Duplexing problems]
Question: Why did my printout come out single-sided despite setting the duplex option?
Author: Joseph Tam
Date: July 25, 2007
If you are using the printer named apple, it occasionally "forgets"
it has a duplexor. It is unknown whether this is a firmware problem or a
sensor hardware glitch, but the only fix seems to be to turn the printer off,
then back on.
If it is not the problem described above, perhaps the duplexing options
has been hardcoded into your printout by whatever printer driver was used to
produced it. If your print job has been preformatted in postscript format
or you are using a non-MathNet installed printer driver, check its settings.
Another possible cause is that someone has fiddled with the printer
settings. If this is the case, or if you can't figure it out, contact the
IT staff.
